During her time as a Les Mills instructor, Jannette has had the opportunity to present at quarterly workshops in Christchurch. In 2009 she received the Sam Taylor Award for NZ’s most up and coming group fitness instructor. In 2010 she became certified as an Advanced BodyBalance™ instructor.  Jannette has a passion for instructing, and feels privileged to be working within an industry that helps change people’s lives!

She loves coaching, motivating and educating people while keeping fit and having fun too. Jannette loves going to the gym and exercising to music, so naturally you will find her teaching many of the awesome Les Mills classes at ProActive including BodyPump™, BodyBalance™.

Hi, I am Josie! I am passionate about yoga and the healing connection it helps establish between the mind, the body and the breath. In 2016 I gained my my 200-hr RYT Certification in Ashtanga Yoga from the Kranti School of Yoga in India. Since then, I have been studying and teaching all over the world and am happy to have settled in the beautiful Wanaka. Though I trained in Ashtanga, I enjoy all forms of yoga, especially Hatha and Vinyasa, and am currently training to become certified in Pilates. I am fascinated by the healing connection of movement and ability it has to ease tension in the mind and body. I love creating classes with peaceful and rhythmic flows that connect the body and the breath with gentle and flowing movement. I am passionate about sharing yoga with people who may be intimidated by the practice, and want to make welcoming classes that everyone can enjoy. It is so gratifying watching students notice improvements in their mental and physical health as they practice. I'd love you to join a class and see what yoga is all about!

Sue has been teaching classes since 1991 with a passion for people and inspiring results! She began in Canada at an all woman’s health club, then moved to NZ and taught classes and managed Group Fitness at Les Mills clubs.

I'm a Wanaka raised local with a passion for making fitness fun and functional!

My focus is to inspire long-term healthy habits whilst building a strong body, combining balance and flexibility training for optimal wellness in the demands of daily life.


Whether it is full body toning, weight loss, strength and/or athletic performance goals, I have the knowledge and experience to get you results and create lifestyle habits to last a lifetime. You can find me on the gym floor as a Personal Trainer, upstairs coaching TRIBE, training young athletes in Academy of Excellence, or teaching Les Mills classes.


Wether you are new to training or an experienced exerciser, I bring a powerhouse of fresh energy to inspire and bring out the best in your body!

Steve is one of the two Club Managers here at PROACTIVE24. With over 20yrs experience in this amazing industry performing roles varying from fitness instructor, personal trainer, fitness manager, and health club manager (in both small and large clubs) Steve is really excited to be part of this amazing team. His drive and passion stem from the desire to provide every member with an experience that is so compelling that they will excitedly talk to their friends about us. Steve's aim is to ensure that each and every one of our members is valued and receives exceptional service so that they can reach their goals with ease and have a great time doing it.

It brings Michelle great joy to facilitate an exploration of the eight limbs of yoga, with the students of ProActive Gym. Each of her classes has a directed intention, achieved by utilising physical postures (asana), the breath (pranayama), chanting and meditation. Her classes find a balance between depth and playfulness, strength and flexibility, movement and stillness; they encourage an exploration of the edges to find the centre. This multi-layered approach is threaded together by fluid movement, led by the breath. There is an emphasis on forging and developing the simple connection of the breath with the physical body, because it allows the intent of connection to permeate into other aspects of being. Michelle feels this powerful tool, the breath, can be utilised to create a bridge between the conscious and the subconscious. When allowing an expansion of awareness within the ‘self’, in turn encourages a subtler and deeper relationship with the environment beyond the ‘self’. Michelle is looking forward to sharing this endless exploration, and learning from her students in Wanaka.

Originally from Australia, Emily moved to Wanaka in 2019 and hasn't regretted it once. She is a certified Yoga and STOTT Pilates teacher and combines the two for her signature 'Yogaletes' class, which focuses on therapeutic, intelligent exercise that links breath to movement whilst feeling the burn. We love our peach! Her main aim is for every class member to walk out of the studio feeling taller, stronger, sexier and more empowered in their bodies. All levels of experience are heartily welcome.
