Les Mills BODYBALANCE®

Build flexibility, strength and inner calm.

Les Mills BODYBALANCE®, is the Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates workout that will leave you feeling centered and calm. With controlled breathing, concentration and a carefully structured series of stretches, moves and poses, you’ll build strength and flexibility as you create a holistic workout, bringing the body into a state of harmony and balance.

Les Mills RPM®

Push yourself and ride to the rhythm of powerful music.

RPM® is the indoor cycling workout where you discover your athlete within. Take on the terrain with your inspiring team coach who leads the pack through hills, flats, mountain peaks, time trials, and interval training.

KYLA TAYLOR

SUE RICHARD

Sue has been teaching classes since 1991 with a passion for people and inspiring results! She began in Canada at an all woman’s health club, then moved to NZ and taught classes and managed Group Fitness at Les Mills clubs.

She teaches Les Mills RPM™, and BodyPump™ at ProActive. Sue will help inspire and motivate you to reach your goals in no time! Come check out one of her classes today!

Hi! I'm Ming.

I'm a Wanaka raised local with a passion for making fitness fun and functional!

My focus is to inspire long-term healthy habits whilst building a strong body, combining balance and flexibility training for optimal wellness in the demands of daily life.

Whether it is full body toning, weight loss, strength and/or athletic performance goals, I have the knowledge and experience to get you results and create lifestyle habits to last a lifetime. You can find me on the gym floor as a Personal Trainer, upstairs coaching TRIBE, training young athletes in Academy of Excellence, or teaching Les Mills classes.

Whether you are new to training or an experienced exerciser, I bring a powerhouse of fresh energy to inspire and bring out the best in your body!

STEVE COCKRAM

Steve is the Club Manager here at PROACTIVE24™. With over 20yrs experience in this amazing industry performing roles varying from fitness instructor, personal trainer, fitness manager, and health club manager (in both small and large clubs) Steve is really excited to be part of this amazing team. His drive and passion stem from the desire to provide every member with an experience that is so compelling that they will excitedly talk to their friends about us. Steve's aim is to ensure that each and every one of our members is valued and receives exceptional service so that they can reach their goals with ease and have a great time doing it.

KATE HOLDSWORTH

I have always thought a healthy mind is a healthy body. Through moving our bodies we get our endorphins running, feel so much better mentally which in turn makes us feel great physically too.

I was born in New Zealand but have lived most of my life overseas, in a number of countries. I've trained and worked in the fitness industry since 2017 and love all things health and fitness, whether it’s in the gym, participating in group classes, working out in a smaller team or in the great outdoors. My favourite thing is sharing that amazing feeling people get as soon as they move their bodies, I love watching that smile appear and the confidence start to blossom. I thrive on helping people to achieve their goals.

I'm here to help you, whether you've been training for years, days or just new into the fitness thing!! I'd love to help you in a one-on-one or see you in one of my Les Mills classes

Carolina Ramirez

I have always been involved in many aspects of health and fitness while training and competing at an extremely high level.

On top of my daily training, I am a qualified PT, Les Mills RPM, Sprint and Body Balance instructor, after achieving the modules. I am a keen participant in all the classes and training that Les Mills provide and regularly attend the Les Mills workshops. This helps to keep up to date with all the new best practice training methods and psychology around training these fantastic programmes to get the most out of the training for all levels of the athletes attending these classes.

My background is that I am originally from Chile, living in New Zealand for the last 6 years. I have been training since I was 5 years old. I was involved in a Synchronised swimming team, going on to become part of the Chilean National team when I was 8 years old and becoming a professional athlete. This involved year of swimming training, while adding physical training, psychologist preparation, nutritionist training and so on. Teaching me discipline, hard work, teamwork and ethic. When I turned 20 years old, I changed sports and joined the Chilean Water Polo National team.

With my experience, modules achieved and knowledge of these classes while also continuing to upskill and continuously achieve more of the modules Les Mills has to offer, I have a true love for what I do and believe I have a lot to offer our clients here at PROACTIVE24™. I have an extremely hard work ethic and a very positive can-do attitude which I have often been commended on from my students. This really drives me to become the best I can be at what I do out of sheer love and passion for my job in the health and fitness industry.

JULS MOORE

I turned my lifelong passion for anything outdoors and movement-based into a career after having my 2 children. Now 19 and 18 respectively I have even more time to dedicate to my students and clients. An early career in gymnastics lead to competitive horse riding, snow skiing and snowboarding. A visit to Wanaka in my early teens awakened a feeling inside me that I can only say felt like coming home. Finally, many years and qualifications later I am very proud to now call Wanaka home as we build our forever home and put down our final roots here.

Nearly a decade flying with Air New Zealand lead me into a career in the Fitness Industry. I started at Pulse Fitness in Queenstown, qualified as a Personal Trainer, and began my journey as a Les Mills Instructor in Body Balance. Once we moved to Christchurch 12 years ago, I took on Body Pump and CX Works alongside their Personal Trainer Modules. 7 years working for lululemon in various roles from Ambassador to Manager and Assistant Manager supported my dream to qualify as a Yoga Instructor. 200 hours completed in 2017 at Grassroots Yoga in Christchurch followed by 65 hours of Yin Yang/Yoga Nidra with Jo Phee in 2018. The last 2 years I have been teaching Yoga full time alongside Group Fitness at Les Mills in Christchurch.

My motivation in this ever-changing industry comes from connection. Connection to you, the person, and how I can help facilitate you to be the best version of yourself possible in a way that supports your lifestyle. Whether that is in a class or a one-on-one meeting. I hope the person you see on stage is the person you see off stage. My passion is to help people understand how to move in a safe way that enhances their quality and quantity of life.

JANNETTE SANTOS

During her time as a Les Mills instructor, Jannette has had the opportunity to present at quarterly workshops in Christchurch. In 2009 she received the Sam Taylor Award for NZ’s most up and coming group fitness instructor. In 2010 she became certified as an Advanced BodyBalance™ instructor. Jannette has a passion for instructing, and feels privileged to be working within an industry that helps change people’s lives!

She loves coaching, motivating and educating people while keeping fit and having fun too. Jannette loves going to the gym and exercising to music, so naturally you will find her teaching many of the awesome Les Mills classes at ProActive including BodyPump™, BodyBalance™.

I fell in love with fitness and exercise through Les Mills Group Fitness classes. Certified in Body Balance, Body Pump, CX Works and Body Combat, I have been an instructor since 2011.

I love the combination of music, movement and people working together towards their fitness goals. There are levels for everyone – whether you are a first timer, had some time away from the gym or have been coming for years, you will always leave feeling better than when you arrived - guaranteed!
