What is TRIBE Team Training®?

TRIBE Team Training® is a cost effective way to achieve incredible results in a small team environment, with a dedicated coach to support you and your team mates.

TRIBE members will experience fun, belonging, control, support, reassurance and challenges all in a dynamic motivating environment that will respect their individuality so they can achieve more.

TribeCORE

TribeCORE is designed to train the muscles around your pelvis, hips, back, shoulders and abdomen, starting from the deep torso muscles, leaving you with a slim waistline and firm strong abs. TribeCORE™ is the foundation of all training pathways incorporating mobility and stability training to ensure structural longevity and powerful pain free movement. TribeCORE™ Coaches will guide and support you every step of the way coaching and motivating you to new levels of core strength and stability season after season.

Like many in Wanaka, I’m a keen rider, runner, skier, paddler… and love TribeCORE™ as it provides great cross functional strength, conditioning and flexibility to support these activities. TribeFIT

TribeFIT will make you functionally fit by combining high intensity athletic movements with functional strength exercises that will have you looking and feeling amazingly fit. Inspirational TribeFIT™ Coaches will be with you every step of the way coaching and motivating you to new levels of strength and fitness season after season.

I first did TribeLIFE™ to improve my fitness levels several years ago in preparation for ski instructor training. Having one or two joint niggles, I was attracted by the programme's focus on low impact exercise, but I quickly realised that low impact does not mean low intensity! The mix of conditioning, strength and flexibility are perfect for my needs, and the small size of the team means everyone gets individual attention from our Coach, including options specific to each person's needs. Progress is quick, and measured, and the mutually-supportive team environment provides all the encouragement you need to succeed. An unexpected bonus is the deeper understanding I have acquired of how different parts of the body work, which has proved invaluable for all areas of life - including ski instructing! - David Baker

Having been on and off at the gym for the past 2 or 3 years with varying results, after Covid this year I decided to give TRIBE another go, having previously attended TribeCORE™ a life ago! While not an easy undertaking, TribeFIT™ has really challenged me both physically and mentally. After now being half way through my second season, I can start seeing results. Whether it is in the belt buckle or the ability to do a pull up (something I have never been able to achieve un-assisted). TRIBE Team Training® works for me, because I am part of a small group where we all push each other to do better. Every workout is different, which keeps it exciting! TribeLIFE

TribeLIFE will make you functionally fit for whatever challenge life throws at you. It combines low impact movements with functional strength exercises as well as core and mobility exercises that will give you renewed energy to take on more of what life has to offer. Low impact functional exercise refers to exercise that is not strenuous on the joints. However TribeLIFE™ will ensure you maintain the correct intensity during workouts needed to decrease body fat, increase energy levels, achieve cardio vascular fitness and increase functional strength. TribeKIDS

TribeKIDS involves exercises that are fundamental to all things that kids need to do as their bodies grow – pull, push, run, jump, throw, climb and lift. TribeKIDS™ workouts incorporate athletic drills for coordination and agility, strength and stamina exercises as well as teamwork games and challenges. Dedicated TribeKIDS™ Coaches will motivate and coach our kids every step of the way encouraging our kids to new levels of fitness, strength and confidence season after season.

TribePUNCH

TribePUNCH is specifically designed to give you agility, strength, fitness and fighting skills creating a greater confidence within and a lean toned body. TribePUNCH™ guarantees to help you build power, endurance, and mental toughness ensuring fast measurable results. TribePUNCH™ Coaches will motivate and challenge you to new levels of strength, fitness and fighting skills season after season.

TribePUNCH™ is a great way to take your workouts to the next level. Having someone there to push you, combined with the style of the workout, ensures that you get the most impactful workout possible. Sean O’Brien’s

Hi, my name is Sean. I am a certified Personal Trainer and fitness instructor from Ireland. I have a very strong passion for fitness, nutrition and member's overall wellbeing. I believe that anyone (regardless of their background), has the potential to live a stronger and healthier life - both physically and mentally. With a special focus on functional fitness and mobility, I can work with you to achieve your goals and create healthier lifelong habits.

SUE RICHARD

Sue Richard has excelled in the fitness industry for over 20 years. Through her various roles as a Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor, Team Trainer and Club Manager she has inspired thousands of health club members towards incredible results. Sue is regarded internationally for her passion in developing and training personal trainers and it is in her role as the director of Training for TRIBE Team Training™ where she inspires TRIBE Coaches around the world to become the absolute best in what they do. At ProActive, she coaches TribeLIFE and leads her team members to achieve more than they ever thought possible!

STEVE COCKRAM

Steve is the Club Manager here at PROACTIVE24™. With over 20yrs experience in this amazing industry performing roles varying from fitness instructor, personal trainer, fitness manager, and health club manager (in both small and large clubs) Steve is really excited to be part of this amazing team. His drive and passion stem from the desire to provide every member with an experience that is so compelling that they will excitedly talk to their friends about us. Steve's aim is to ensure that each and every one of our members is valued and receives exceptional service so that they can reach their goals with ease and have a great time doing it.

Hi! I'm Ming.

I'm a Wanaka raised local with a passion for making fitness fun and functional!

My focus is to inspire long-term healthy habits whilst building a strong body, combining balance and flexibility training for optimal wellness in the demands of daily life.

Whether it is full body toning, weight loss, strength and/or athletic performance goals, I have the knowledge and experience to get you results and create lifestyle habits to last a lifetime. You can find me on the gym floor as a Personal Trainer, upstairs coaching TRIBE, training young athletes in Academy of Excellence, or teaching Les Mills classes.

If you are new to training or an experienced exerciser, I bring a powerhouse of fresh energy to inspire and bring out the best in your body!

KATE HOLDSWORTH

I have always thought a healthy mind is a healthy body. Through moving our bodies we get our endorphins running, feel so much better mentally which in turn makes us feel great physically too.

I was born in New Zealand but have lived most of my life overseas, in a number of countries. I've trained and worked in the fitness industry since 2017 and love all things health and fitness, whether it’s in the gym, participating in group classes, working out in a smaller team or in the great outdoors. My favourite thing is sharing that amazing feeling people get as soon as they move their bodies, I love watching that smile appear and the confidence start to blossom. I thrive on helping people to achieve their goals.

I'm here to help you, whether you've been training for years, days or just new into the fitness thing!! I'd love to help you in a one-on-one or see you in one of my Les Mills classes or Tribe seasons.

BEVAN GARLAND

Hi, I am Bevan and my passion is team training. I enjoy coaching all my TRIBE Team Members to help them achieve their health and fitness goals. Growing up my chosen sports were rugby league, boxing and snowboarding all combined with gym training. I really enjoyed this combination and the culture it offered me.

This lead me to taking my first TRIBE Team Training® session as a member. From the first "3, 2, 1...GO!" I was hooked! The sense of achievement, belonging, camaraderie, expertise and not to mention the results I got, lead me to want to become a TRIBE Coach. I have been trained in TribeCORE™, TribePUNCH™, and TribeFIT™ and I am now very proud to be one of the Coaches here at PROACTIVE24™.

I believe in the TRIBE Team Training® style of training as we gain far greater results training together than working out on our own. There is a program for everyone! I have spent 12 years delivering educational packages as a Lecturer in sports, fitness and outdoor studies in the UK. I’ve helped and assessed many fitness trainers get into the fitness industry, worked with various sports teams, as well as helped many people achieve personal targets and goals.

Over the last few years I have spent my time moving between the UK and New Zealand. I have been applying my trade in the Health/Fitness/Sports and Outdoor Sectors in both hemispheres of the world.

I am well practiced and trained to deliver fitness to all, regardless of age, ability and previous training knowledge. It doesn’t matter if your 7 or 77, I’ve got a fun, exciting training system waiting to help you achieve your goals.
